Last week ended a small competition in my university lecture “basics to computer graphics”. After a semester of learning about the basics of computer graphics and the fundamental use of OpenGL we got the chance to use our knowledge for a small project – the best projects should gain a small bonus for the upcoming exam. The topic: Flightsimulator
After only 10 days (announcement was 2 weeks before evaluation) my team consisting of two other fellow students and me was awarded for the best one of seven submitted works – as aimed from the early beginning on
If you like, you can download it here (19mb zip, win) – source code included. A PDF with additional information is enclosed (in German).
Even if I gained only minor technical knowledge (because of preceding experiences in computer graphics) this project was very valuable: The teamwork felt tremendous to me. Though we had entirely different skills in graphics and programming we synergized in a very effective way. Therefore it was also a funny and enriching experience.
Thank you Patrick & Florian
